Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

Job Advert Location Description

Hamilton House is a 6 bed autism/learning disability specific residential service, located in Leigh Sinton in Malvern. It is situated in the village, approximately 3 miles from Great Malvern and 4 miles from Worcester city centre. We currently support 5 gentlemen with autism, sensory impairment and learning disabilities. We have several service vehicles as our service is rural, so drivers would be preferable.

Job Advert Role Description

You will have experience of supervising support workers- we have a staff team of 14 support staff- and will be expected to lead a team, allocate work and delegate tasks.  You will be involved in supporting individuals with all aspects of their daily lives- personal care, shopping, attending appointments and managing finances, as well as going out and about and having fun! The people we support here enjoy a range of activities, including allotment gardening, volunteering at a local animal rescue centre, swimming, and exploring the local area. Part of the role will also include developing support plans and risk assessments, and  liaising with health professionals and families. It is essential that you have IT skills, including the ability to use e mail, word and publisher effectively. You will have strong, professional communication skills with experience gained in the care/support sector. It is essential that you have knowledge of issues related to learning disabilities and autism.
