The Dene Hospital supports both male and female patients with varying needs in its Medium Secure, Low Secure, HDU and Acute Wards.

The Dene is set in 11 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside, it has educational, occupational and sporting facilities, including a sports hall, tennis court and gymnasium, along with various communal recreation areas. There is a library, art room and rehab practice kitchen. The site also facilitates and runs recovery college courses.

Job Advert Role Description

As a Housekeeping Assistant at The Dene, your main duties will be:-

- To provide housekeeping cover as part of a well established team at The Dene.

- Reporting to the Lead Housekeeper and working alongside other housekeeping assistants.

- Applicants will be expected to work on a rotan and this includes working at the weekend.

- Tasks include maintaining a high standard of cleaning and hygiene in the patients’ accommodation and any other areas of the hospital.

Some of the skills and experience we are looking for are:-

- It would be useful to have hospital/commercial experience in similar position with flexible approach.

- Working knowledge of COSHH and awareness of H&S.

- A flexible and positive approach to working.

- Common sense approach to work

- Due to the location of our hospital site candidates must be able to travel using their own vehicle/public transport.
