Centrally located within easy access of the Medway Towns, Tunbridge Wells, Hastings, Ashford and Maidstone and set within acres of beautiful gardens is The Priory Hospital, Ticehurst House. If you are seeking a new social work experience within a well established Multi Disciplinary team - come and talk to us.  We have 2 Acute and two  CAMHS wards, Tier 4 and HDU where we  offer comprehensive inpatient and specialist mental health services for Adults and Young People aged 12 - 18 in addition to rehabilitation and recovery units. 

Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking a full time  Social Worker to manage monitor and review an assigned caseload within our CAMHS service. The successful candidate will work as part of the MDT to provide holistic support to clients and their familes, working with partnership agencies to ensure matters of social care and transition home are safely managed.  You will co-ordinate, negotiate and manage mandatory processes and procedures ensuring the hospital's compliance with statutory regulation. The postholder will be the designated lead for CAMHS safeguarding. 

The social worker role is highly valued by the MDT and the post holder will work closely with the established team which includes consultant psychiatrists, doctors, nursing staff and full range of  therapists to QNIC standards.  Senior managers will listen to your thoughts and ideas and you have the opportunity to be really involved with and to influence  the future direction of our services.

 

We are seeking applicants with:

  • A degree level social work qualification
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Knowledge of current legislation
  • Experience of safeguarding
  • Experience of working in a multi disciplinary setting in relation to mental health
  • You will bring with you excellent communication skills and the motivation to strive for excellence yourself and via others.
