We are looking for an exceptional, hardworking and highly motivated Operations Managerr to cover services within the home counties

Job Puprose:

  • Reporting into the Operations Director 
  • Support the Operations Director in delivering their vision, professional leadership, management and direction for the services, driving continuous improvement and innovation through the site leaders, promoting high quality standards of service to the young people, in line with our regulatory bodies.
  • Support the Operations Director to ensure that key deliverables on quality service, on employees and on performance are met and exceeded. Implement robust processes to ensure consistency and safety are assured.
  • Support the Operations Director to provide strong and effective commercial and financial leadership and insight, ensuring budgets are met, in order to sustain continued investment in the service, and to drive growth. This will include responsibility for acquisitions and bids within the area covered by the role.
  • Support the Operations Director to develop effective relationships, at all levels across all relevant stakeholders; to include local authorities, professionals, regulators, children and parents/carers. To use these relationships to develop and grow the service and to meet and exceed ADC targets. 


Job Advert Role Description

Must have a thorough knowledge of relevant legislation/statutory requirements associated with SEN education and children’s homes, and with relevant Health and Safety legislation, and with current care practice and theories.



Must have proven ability effectively to lead senior Site leaders in a portfolio of services
Must have proven commercial ability, the ability to deliver budgetary and growth commitments, and track record of being effective in terms of with commissioning and funding arrangements.
Must have proven experience of business development, particularly with local authorities.
Must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate ability to lead and influence at a range of levels, including senior levels.
Must be able to set up and run processes that are effective in ensuring consistent safe delivery of an innovative care service and support for its users.
Must demonstrate creativity combined with practical approach.
Must be an inspirational leader who is able to build effective teams and from there on listen to, coach and inspire them.
