Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Job Advert Location Description

Eden Court is a newly refurbished care home designed for older people requiring residential and nursing care. Situated in Birkenshaw, Bradford, the home offers a modern and supportive environment with en-suite bedrooms and comfortable lounge areas. Our dedicated team ensure we meet the resident’s individual care and social needs. The home is in the heart of the community in Birkenshaw and provides residents with a lovely garden to enjoy and a peaceful environment. The home has recently been refurbished and each bedroom and lounge is designed to ensure comfort and safety. The friendly and welcoming decor helps residents feel at home.

Job Advert Role Description

The work is both interesting and varied. You will support the Teams who deliver specialist care to our residents, of course. But you will also play a major role in making the lives of our residents as happy and fulfilling as possible – not just by showing real warmth to them and their families, but by continuously looking for ways to engage their interest and enhance their experience every day.

We are recruiting a motivated staff very flexible and reliable as you will be asked to cover domestic shifts (08:00 to 14:00) and kitchen assistant shifts (09:30 to 18:30).

The qualities and skills we look for:

  • Excellent organisational capacity
  • Enthusiasm and Energy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions and prioritise workload
  • Flexible with a strong ‘can-do’ attitude
  • An appreciation of basic food hygiene
  • Basic standard of numeracy and literacy
  • Previous experience in Catering is ideal but not essential
