Part of the priory specialist education service, Highbury House childrens home is a registered home for up to 7 young people who have complex needs which may include autistic spectrum disorders ( ASD ) and complex associated difficulties. This home is open 52 weeks per year. 

Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking a Residential Registered Manager for one of our Residential Homes and join our residential care team. The role requires passion and enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, high levels of selef motibation and the necessary drive and commitment to support our young people to achieve.

Ideally the successful candidate should have the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children and Young Peoples services (or equilvalent) or be willing to work towards this qualification.

You should have a full knowledge and understanding of current legislation and considerable experience of working with Children and Young People in a residential setting, as well as a keeness to learn and develop others.

You should be:

  • committed to achieving the best outcomes for the young people in our care
  • motivated and motivational
  • a good communicator
  • a confident leader
  • flexible and able to cope with ongoing challenge
  • willing and able to provide on-call out of hours advice and support on a rota basis

The successful candidate will join an established team of care, education and specialist therapy services. We offer 33 days annual leave, company pension scheme and many other benfits.
