Lakeside View is a specialist Personality Disorder Service that includes a transitional service for women aged 18-25 years. There is an experienced team of mental health professionals and support staff, which includes consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and therapists.

There is also an acute service providing treatment for a wide range of acute mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic-stress-disorder, obsessive compulsive states, schizophrenia and all other major acute psychiatric illnesses

Job Advert Role Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic and enthusiastic therapy team. We are looking for someone with experience working with young people both individually and in groups with a range of complex presentations in an inpatient setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing therapeutic activities under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.

They will take an active role in the preparation, planning and delivery of group and one-to-one interventions.  Vocational, therapeutic and recreational activities including, music, arts & crafts, budgeting, shopping and using public transport.

The post holder will have core life skills to assist them in this role and also have the ability to motivate and support service users.

The successful applicant will be motivated and enthusiastic, have excellent communication and organisational skills, and be able to integrate with the multi-disciplinary team, which include nurses, doctors, psychologists and other therapists.
