Job Advert - Division Information

Providing quality, inspiring innovation and  delivering value is what we set out to achieve at Priory Healthcare. Enabling our patients with mental health difficulties to receive a truly integrated and holistic approach to their treatment, regardless of complexity or severity, thanks to the knowledge and expertise of our multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Job Advert Location Description

The Priory Hospital Preston is an independent adult mental health hospital, specialising in the management and treatment of a wide range of mental health problems. The Eating Disorders and Acute Mental Health services at the hospital work in partnership with the NHS to provide the best quality outcomes for all the patients in our care.

Opened in 1998, the hospital has established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of services delivered across two sites. The hospital has residential facilities for 22 patients. Our highly experienced team includes consultant psychiatrists, accredited therapists, counsellors, nurses and support staff. We also have an Activities Co-ordinator who offers tailored daily activities focusing on the individual needs of each patient.

The Priory Hospital Preston now includes the Bartle Unit (formerly Sion House) which is a specialist eating disorder unit.

Job Advert Role Description

Due to expansion we are looking to recruit Catering Assistants to join our support service team. The role will involve serving food in the restaurant, assisting with food preparation, washing up, kitchen porter duties and generally assisting with the catering team.

The successful candidate will work well under pressure and be able to work as part of a team. For this role some previous experience in catering together with Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and NVQ level 1 would be an advantage, however this is not essential.

Applicants will need to be flexible in their working hours. A mixed shift system, including morning, afternoon evening and weekend shifts is currently in place.
