The North London Clinic and Suttons manor provides a full care pathway from medium secure, low secure to a locked rehabilitation wing. The full multidisciplinary team works with men who have a diagnosis of mental disorder and associated challenging behaviour.

Job Advert Role Description

The MHA administrator will take the lead for all aspects of working with Detained patients paper work, i.e. accepting original papers and ensuring scrutiny for The North London Clinic and Suttons Manor Hospital. They will arrange MHA tribunals and managers hearings, and will liaise with our MHA managers who visit monthly to scrutinize the paper.  Co-ordinates the accurate and timely completion and processing of section papers and associated documentation ensuring the relevant information, signatories and permissions are obtained and recorded in accordance with the requirements of the MHA and code of practice.


The successful MHA Admin should have:

•           Good literacy skills

•           Good IT skills

•           Previous experience of working with multidisciplinary service

•           Excellent organisational skills

•           Effective communication skills

•           Proven experience in mental health and knowledge of the Mental health act.
