Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Dunvegan  is located in Stenhousemuir, Falkirk. We provide residential support for people with learning disabilities, dementia and autism. The service specialises in a positive outcomes approach to help our Service Users achieve their life goals.

Job Advert Role Description

We require a number of full time Senior Support Workers to join our team. Seniors will lead their area of the service.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Working on a rolling rota throughout the week including evenings and weekends.
  • Overseeing the team to ensure the respect, dignity and rights to privacy of Service Users is upheld at all times.
  • Leading on the assessment of Service Users’ needs and the development of individual plans of care and support, in consultation with service users, their families and the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Conducting Risk Assessments and producing guidelines and support plans in conjunction with health care professionals, families, social workers and the supported individual themselves.
  • Leading the team in the recording of incidents and management of challenging behaviour.
  • Leading the care and support team to deliver high standards of service to achieve planned goals. This will include the supervision, coaching and mentoring of support staff.
  • The successful candidate should have SVQ3 in Health and Social care ore equivalent as a minimum plus a relevant qualification in supervision.
  • The successful candidate must have good knowledge and experience of dementia, autism and learning disabilities. They should have experience of dealing with challenging behaviour and implementing guidelines to manage this effectively with a positive approach.
  • The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the attitudes and values required for this role. We require positive individuals who are willing to go the extra mile for our residents.
