At Priory Education we are proud of our reputation for delivering quality education and care services with positive outcomes for children and young people aged 5 to 25 who have experienced difficulties in their previous education placements.

Job Advert Location Description

Priory High Wycombe Hospital will be opening as a newly refurbished 12 bed independent hospital, providing specialist inpatient treatment for Children and Adolescent with Mental Health and  Learning Disability in Spring 2018. Conveniently, located close to M40 J4, the new service will specialise in the management and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions. The hospital will provide a specialist Low Secure environment for young people aged 13-18 years and will consist of a 7 day, 24 hour service fully supported by a Senior Management Team and multi-disciplinary specialist clinicians on site and a school.

It is our intention that every student develops their courage, determination and skills as a learner, so they can re-engage confidently with their education on discharge. We liaise with mainstream schools and colleges and each young person has an individualised curriculum plan in each subject area, with progress being closely monitored.  Our school will offer a broad based academic and enrichment curriculum, with specialist teaching spaces and teaching technologies.

Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking two enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistants.

This post is likely to suit an individual with previous experience in a school environment, as either a Teaching Assistant, a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or Teacher wishing to work as a TA, who is comfortable working in Key Stage 3 and 4.  Experience with Post-16 support is desirable.  Secure knowledge and strong support skills in Maths and English up to GCSE is essential.

The Teaching Assistant will be expected to:

* support the activities of all curriculum areas in the classroom

* work with individuals and groups to support their learning in Maths and English

* be self-motivated and liaise with members of staff throughout the school, working effectively as a member of the team

* prepare and clear away materials and assist with displays and general classroom organisation

* provide some admin support essential to the smooth running of the school.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates from mainstream or specialist education or community provision who are looking to move into a hospital specialist setting.

If you have relevant experience, then why not contact the Executive Head Teacher, Patricia Wilson, for an informal chat on 07802 876 868.  Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
