Partnerships in Care is one of the UK’s leading providers of independent specialist secure and step-down care across the UK. With hospitals around the country, 30 years of experience in our sector and highly skilled and experienced teams, we help patients and commissioners find the right care pathways without the need for multiple reassessments.

Job Advert Location Description

Llanarth Court Hospital is  forensic hospital providing a multi disciplinary service in  low, medium and open rehabilitation settings.

Job Advert Role Description

We are currently recruiting for a full time psychologist for our 16 bedded Medium Secure Unit for Women. The unit is home to women with mental health difficulties, many of whom also have forensic histories.

The unit is run by a multi-disciplinary team where the Psychologist works alongside colleagues from Psychiatry, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and Social Work to provide high quality care.

The psychologist we are looking for will be experienced in assessment and formulation to help determine the treatment needs of individual service users. The role also includes providing training to staff, running reflective practice, writing risk assessments and providing individual and group interventions, to meet the needs of the population.

The unit uses Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Positive Behaviour Support to guide and inform treatment. There is an established and supportive psychology team at Llanarth Court to provide the backdrop to the work on the units.

We are looking for someone with a creative and compassionate approach, with an enthusiasm for improving the quality of life of our service users and reducing risk.
