Job Advert Role Description

In this role you will be part of a small team responsible for the compliance and day to day administration of the company pension schemes, including local government pension schemes.  You will also be expected to work directly with pension scheme providers and manage all enquiries from employees accurately and in a confident and timely manner.

Previous experience of working within local government pension schemes is essential for this role.

Duties include:

  • Day to day administration of all company pension schemes
  • Reconcile monthly contribution files against payroll reports
  • Accurately and on time submit payment schedules to pension providers
  • Ensure the company remains compliant in line with pension legislation and specific pension scheme requirements
  • Update employee data in relevant systems
  • Resolve all employee queries within agreed timelines
  • Support the team with general benefits administration
  • Liaison with third party benefit and pension providers
  • To support the Pensions & Benefits Manager with any ad-hoc project work

What we’d like from you:

  • Previous experience of working with local government pension schemes
  • Some knowledge of defined benefit pension scheme regulations/requirements
  • Strong PC skills with advanced knowledge of Excel for large data manipulation including data sorting, vlookups, pivot tables etc.
  • Strict attention to detail, methodical and thorough approach to work
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
