Job Advert Location Description

Calverton Hospital is a 64 bed service providing care & treatment within three medium secure and one acute care wards for men and women aged 18 years and older. The treatment programmes aim to optimise patient recovery and potential by treating & minimising risk behaviours and by enabling them to develop psychological, emotional, social and occupational skills and resilience. Each ward is managed my a multi-disciplinary clinical team including Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers.

Job Advert Role Description

We are looking for a DoCs with experience of managing a complex group of patients (Acute MI, PD, LD) within a secure hospital setting. To this end some forensic experience is desirable. The post holder will be expected to manage the Nursing Department together with paramedical services (Occupatonal Therapy, Social Work, Psychology). The post holder will also be an integral member of the Hospital Senior Management Team and report directly to the Hospital Director. Participation in a Senior Management on-call rota is an essential element of the role.
