Priory Rookery Hove is a specialist therapeutic home providing education and essential life skills for young adults aged 18 to 35 with Autism and other associated conditions. We provide education, independence, social skills, and/or undertake work-based learning where appropriate. At The Priory Rookery Hove we work hard to ensure each individuals potential is being met. Priory Hove provides 24 hour specialist care and support, 52 weeks a year

Job Advert Role Description

Dynamic, motivated deputy manager required

  • You will play a key role within the home, taking the time to get to know our residents and their families, so you can ensure the best possible person centred care is delivered
  • You will be responsible for creating and updating care plans to ensure they are accurately maintained, maintaining clear, precise and up-to-date medication records for all our residents
  • You will take responsibility for all aspects and areas of care within the home, whilst promoting our key values of choice, dignity and respect
  • You will share your experiences, mentor and teach staff and provide valuable support to members of the care team
  • You will need to develop strong relationships with our residents families, commissioners and other professionals ensuring the homes profile remains at a high standard.
  • You will be expected to be on call and provide cover outside of normal hours, as required, and deputise in the absence of the manager

Who we’re looking for

  • Ideally, you will have your NVQ level 3 or above
  • Someone who shares our passion and dedication to empower our residents to lead the best possible lives that they can, and achieve their goals
  • The ability to build good relationships with residents and their families
  • A natural mentor with strong leadership experience
  • The motivation to embrace change and think outside the box
  • Someone who is good at time management, who can prioritise effectively and work independently as well as a team.
