Job Advert - Division Information

Priory Education and Children’s Services is a leading company in the UK offering independent behavioural care for commissioners across the UK. With over 100 high quality schools, colleges and homes we focus on making a real and lasting difference for everyone we support.

Job Advert Location Description

Eastwood Grange School is a specialist day school located in the village of Ashover, near Chesterfield for boys aged 9-18 years.  The pupils exhibit a variety of severe and complex educational, social, emotional and mental health difficulties, which have impeded personal developmental and educational success.  Many of the pupils have a number of diagnoses.  A large majority of our pupils live in Rotherham.

Job Advert Role Description

We are looking for a self motivated, creative individual to become our new Outreach Worker based in the Rotherham area. This post will be working with pupils, more often than not, on a 1:1 basis and using community based centres e.g. libraries. Our Outreach Worker will be working with pupils whose risk assessment means they cannot attend the main school site or their increasing needs means a typical classroom environment or group working is not currently successful.

Our Outreach Worker will be expected to go different places of work in the Rotherham area and may need to conduct home visits or support at alternative provisions.  We would ask the Outreach Worker to attend the main school site in Ashover once a week for CPD and INSET days and would expect daily handovers.

You would be expected to devise and maintain Individual and Activity Risk Assessments and also lead on Pupils Behaviour Management Plans and Missing Risk Assessments. You will need to act as a positive role model and to have effective communication with parents/carers and agencies.  Interviews will be held on Tuesday 19th December on the school site.
