Job Advert Location Description

We are a home for children that require mental health assessment and intervention. We utilise the secure base model of care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We have an experienced team inclusive of mental health nurses. We offer therapy and education on site. The overall focus of the home is to achieve positive outcomes for young people, we do this through multi agency working, personalised care planning and creating positive attachments.

Job Advert Role Description

We are looking for a support worker for our home in Ipswich. You will work as part of a team to support up to 6 young people aged 11-18.

You will need to:

  • Provide high standards of person-centred care
  • Build good relationships with young people, families and professionals
  • Promote education, good health, and independance
  • Be flexible
  • Participate in activities with the young people
  • Dynamically risk assess at all times
  • Follow the homes policies and procedures
  • Role model and maintain the ethos of the home
  • Be energetic, dynamic and solution focused
  • Communicate effectively with young people, team members, the public and wider network of professionals
  • Be able to record and report appropriately
  • Hold Level 3 qualification in residential childcare (this is desired however not essential providing you are willing to complete this during your employment)
