Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Job Advert Location Description

Charnwood Lodge is located in village of Nanpantan near Loughborough and provides 24 hours a day support for people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health problems. Charnwood Lodge is a large building set in the extensive and well-maintained grounds and is surrounded by extensive woodland area.

Job Advert Role Description

As a Senior Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our service users. Day to day you will be leading a team to achieve their full potential and maximising service users’ opportunities, choice and control over their lives.  You will also be a key member of the home’s management  team helping to shape practices to benefit those we support.  You need to possess excellent communication skills (both written and orally), have the ability to work under pressure and manage your time effectively as well as managing and resolving conflict.  In addition, you need to be flexible and be able to work throughout the week on days (and nights as required) and covering shifts on an overtime basis may be required, sometimes at short notice.

Please note that the home is not on a bus route and is in a semi-rural location
