Pelham Woods is an inpatient rehabilitation and recovery service for women with mental health needs, personality disorder or mild learning disability with who may have a history of challenging behaviours, risks of self-harm, substance misuse problems or a history of trauma.

The service is well placed to serve the south east of England and provides for the needs of women who have complex mental health problems and a history of challenging behavior.

Job Advert Role Description

We are looking for skilled and innovative nurses to join our team here at Pelham Woods.

The post holder will understand the importance of collaborative working, in order to promote and develop the mental, emotional, physical and social well being of clients; liaising with family and careers where necessary.  You will also ideally have experience in supervising junior members of the team and delivering psycho-therapeutic groups and individual sessions.

Experience and Training in DBT and CBT would be advantageous.

To be successful in this role you will need:-

Essential:-

  • Registration with the NMC
  • Excellent team working ethic
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven Administrative skills
  • Good Interpersonal Skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Computer Literate including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • A flexible, motivated and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Customer and Patient focused

Desirable:-

  • Additional training in psychological therapies (DBT, EMDR, Schema etc)
