Mark College provides a very special environment for vulnerable students with the potential to succeed but who have barriers to their learning, whether this be reading, writing, anxiety or social issues.

We are a mixed residential special school that provides education and on-site boarding facilities for up to 80 young people aged 10 to 19 years with specific learning difficulties, including:

  • ASD
  • Dyscalculia
  • Dyslexia
  • Dyspraxia
  • Language disorders
  • Students with high anxiety

We are the ideal setting for students who have strong academic potential but struggle in a mainstream setting. Here at Mark College, we provide a nurturing environment with specialist teaching up to A-Level standard, that supports each and every young person in our care to achieve their full potential.     

Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking to recruit an Occupational Therapist who has an interest in working with young people with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ASD and sensory integration needs.

The post holder will have the opportunity to manage the delivery of a therapy programme for young people between the ages of 10 to 19 years. They will work with students using evidence based and child centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which provide students with the confidence, skills and coping strategies required for independent living.
