With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Loughshore and Shaftesbury Mews is a 16 bedded unit and 3 separate 6 bedded state of the art bungalows providing care for adults with a learning disability and autism.

Job Advert Role Description

The quality and appearance of our services create the first impression for service users and their families and our Maintenance teams take huge pride in maintaining our buildings to the highest possible standards. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will have the opportunity to contribute to this by working hard to maintain the fixtures and fittings of our buildings.

As well as undertaking regular inspections of buildings, equipment, fixtures and fittings, you will also carry out the completion of routine and unplanned maintenance operations, ensuring minimal disruption to the service and compliance with operational standards and statutory regulations.

We require the maintenance assistant  to have a full  and clean driving licence which covers a mini bus with 9 seats, have an understanding of health and safety, have an understanding of risk assessments and fire procedures, have an understanding of adults with learning disability.  Preferable skills also include to having previous experience in building trade
