Job Advert Location Description

Abbey House provides a specialist psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery service for 25 men aged 18 years or older with enduring mental illness and/or personality disorder. We support the needs of both detained and voluntary patients and can manage patients with complex needs, including those with a history of offending.

We aim to provide our patients with the skills they need to lead a happy and fulfilling life back in the community. We support those requiring short periods of care prior to moving out of acute care, as well as those stepping down from secure services.

Job Advert Role Description

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will have the opportunity to contribute to this by working hard to maintain a clean and tidy environment and delivering a high quality accommodation and housekeeping service.

The role:

Carrying out all cleaning duties as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor to the required Company Standards. Cleaning Duties can be in any area of the unit.

Ensuring that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to

Maintaining a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene

Ensuring that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in safe condition

Complying with COSHH regulations

Adhering to infection control policies at all times

Ensuring the correct use of PPE
