Job Advert - Division Information

As part of the Support Services team, our Chefs provide a high quality service to our service users through the creation, presentation and delivery of fresh meals. Working with a team of Catering Assistants and other chefs, the successful candidate will assist with the provision of the catering service with particular emphasis on the planning, preparation and cooking of meals.

Job Advert Location Description

Within this role you will be required to prepare and cook meals for our patients each day. Main Chef to cover 1 to 14 patients plus staff on duty.

Ensure that menus and storage of food clearly explains and separates allergens.

Follow the Priory catering guides for food monitoring and cooking to ensure compliance with EHO standards.

You will be required to manage the department budget, order and maintain stock levels and maintain accurate records of freezer levels and food supplies.

Follow company Health and Safety policies and procedures.

The Manor Clinic is a private treatment centre that specialises in addictions such as alcohol, drugs, gambling and prescription drugs. We are based in Southampton in a 13 bedded elegant Georgian Manor House.

Job Advert Role Description

What we’d like from you:

  • Basic qualification in food hygiene
  • Level 2 diploma in catering & food hygiene or qualified by previous experience in catering
  • Commitment to delivering a high quality service
  • Excellent organisational capability
  • Effective communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and energy
  • Flexibility and strong “can do” attitude
  • Effective communication skills including the use of IT systems to order food.
  • Two weekends per month (8.5 hours on a Saturday and 6 hours on Sunday)
