The Priory Hospital – Altrincham is part of the Priory Group, Europe’s leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health.  The hospital has an established reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of clinical services.  The hospital has residential facilities for 50 patients as well as day care and outpatient services.

Job Advert Role Description

The main purpose of this role is to deliver an effective and efficient range of technical services ensuring buildings, equipment, machinery, fixtures and fittings are installed, maintained and repaired in accordance with the Priory’s operational standards and statutory regulations.  Key accountabilities will include the following:

Undertaking regular inspections and audits of buildings, equipment, machinery, fixtures and fittings and the supervision of routine maintenance operations and remedial repairs in accordance with planned maintenance schedules.

Receiving and responding to unplanned events, undertaking emergency inspections and routine repairs ensuring compliance with operational standards and statutory regulations.

The role holder will assist with the development and improvement of maintenance services.

The role holder will already have significant experience of working in a related environment and will have excellent communication skills, responding to enquiries from colleagues and contractors.

The role holder will have NVQ 3 or an equivalent qualification within one of the key electrical, mechanical or building trades.

This role is to support the existing maintenance team during busy periods and to cover periods of annual leave.
