Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Loughshore is a specialist residential autism service based in Jordanstown for people aged 18 years and over with a learning disability, who may at times present behaviours that challenge.

Our specialist staff team

Loughshore has an experienced and trained staff team and requires a new manager who has the drive and passion to lead this exceptional service.

The staff team have significant expertise in supporting people with autism and are supported by a dedicated positive behaviour support specialist, as well as our specialist autism leads.

Job Advert Role Description

Priory Adult Care has services across Northern Ireland, England, Wales, and Scotland, all providing innovative, creative support enabling people with mental health problems, autism and learning disabilities to live the lives they want and have the opportunities they deserve.

The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience of working with adults in a residential setting who have a learning disability, autism, mental health issues and display behaviours that challenge.

We are looking for an inspirational leader who can develop a high functioning team in the delivery of high-quality care and service in this newly established facility.  You should be able to balance being ‘on the floor’ with the staff and service users with your managerial role.

Our residents and their families expect a great service, so you will be expected to provide hands-on support and strong leadership to a team who care passionately about the residents in their care.

You will do this by inspiring a culture of continuous improvement and robust two-way communication to ensure that residents’ care and social needs are met in a person-centred way.

As you will be expected to develop the home with a strong, existing team, you must be confident in presenting your vision and creative ideas for the home and support the team to build on the excellent work already done at the home.

You will support growth of the business and lead your team to achieve maximum performance against commercial and financial goals. You must also ensure the home meets all regulatory and statutory requirements including RQIA, health and safety and EHO, in compliance with the appropriate legislation.
