Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Located in Southport, Dinorwic Road offers a safe and homely environment, where everyone can make their own choices about the care and support they receive. Our service is operated by a friendly and dedicated staff team who are passionate about helping people to acquire and develop skills that will allow them to live moreindependently in the future. We support each individual in the creation of a person-centred plan which provides every person with

the opportunity to express how much support they would like and at a level they need to reach their goals and aspirations. For some people this means attending college courses to improve literacy and

numeracy, and for others it means work placements. 

Job Advert Role Description

As a  Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our service users. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families, supporting service users in the planning of goals and in living as independently as possible. Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital.


You will use your understanding of the impact of autism on individuals to support the development of transferable life skills and strategies. We aim to maximise individual’s personal strengths and autonomy, thereby decreasing reliance on support from others.
