Job Advert Location Description

This role will be distributed between three enhanced community homes in Cardiff:  Princes Street, Avalon and Beechley Drive are specialist residential homes for adults with either a primary diagnosis mental health and/or an associated learning disability. Located near to central Cardiff, the homes are ideally located for safe, structured and gradual reintegration into the community along with good transport link to Cardiff city centre. These specialist group homes, provide short and long term rehabilitation for service users who have a learning disability with previous or current mental health issues.

The unit is led by an effective multidisciplinary team, experienced in rehabilitation, recovery and caring for service users with complex needs. We are committed to providing a safe environment in which service users can explore freedom of choice and expression and make decisions associated with everyday living.

Job Advert Role Description

To provide a psychology service to patients at Princes Street, Avalon and Beechley Drive directed by the Regional Psychologists The role of the psychologist includes making a substantial difference to the lives of service users through assessment and formulation of needs, group and individual intervention, supervision, working with staff teams to promote a psychologically informed approach, training, service evaluation and development. We have strong links with local universities. As a registered psychologist you would have opportunities to enhance your existing skills and develop new areas of expertise.

We are looking to recruit hard-working team-players who are flexible, creative, resilient and passionate about delivering high quality care.
