With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Job Advert Location Description

River House is a specialist service for 9 people aged 18 years and over with autistic spectrum conditions and learning disabilities, who may also present behaviours that challenge.

Located in the Shaw’s Bridge area of Greater Belfast, River House is in walking distance to local shops and parks, as well as major bus routes into Belfast city centre which is only five miles from the service.

Job Advert Role Description

You would be responsible for meeting the support requirements of our Service Users, in a way that respects the individual and promotes their independence within and outside of a residential Setting.

Responsibilities of the role:

Your role would include helping clients with tasks such as:

  • Help with washing & dressing
  • Shopping & meal preparation
  • Prompting with medication
  • Support with daily routines
  • Socialising and leisure activities
  • Helping clients access the community
