Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers

Compassion, patience, excellent listening skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. Do you share these strengths? Then you could fit in perfectly as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker at Priory Group.

Healthcare Assistants are vital to the efficient and effective running of our many hospital services. Working alongside qualified healthcare professionals – typically nurses and doctors – you will provide patients with comprehensive care ranging from washing and dressing to monitoring their condition by taking temperatures and weight. These roles can be tremendously varied. Depending on your location, you could have the opportunity to work across multiple specialist service areas, from eating disorders through to the care of young people or adults with complex needs.

Support Workers also form part of our dedicated care teams. You could join one of our specialist schools and help young people with care and the development of social skills, for example. Equally, you could be part of a team that supports adults with learning and physical disabilities – giving them the practical help and positive encouragement they need to live as independently as possible.

While relevant experience would be useful for any Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant role, it is not essential. We can offer you some of the best training and e-learning resources in the healthcare industry. What’s more, you will never be treated like a number: we expect you to bring your personality to work and will give you all the support you need to make a real difference to our different service users.

This is a place where your opinions matter and where your ability to think is as important as your ability to do.  We also look for strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to use your initiative as part of a supportive team. Does that sound like you? Then it’s time to get in touch.
