Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)
Our purpose is to ‘Live your life’ and we want colleagues to live theirs to the fullest. We’re working hard to create a culture in which our colleagues feel safe and comfortable discussing their physical and mental wellbeing, and know where to access any support they might need. At Priory we expect the highest standards of competence and professionalism from everyone on our team.
Led by colleagues across Priory
We currently have nine networks focused on promoting equity, diversity and inclusion. They all create a safe space for colleagues to connect, share experiences and voice their concerns. Our colleague networks include:
- Armed forces network
- Disability and difference network
- LGBTQ+ network
- Men that talk network
- Women’s network
- Menopause network
- Neurodiversity network
- Parents network
- REACH (Race, Equality and Cultural Heritage) network
Each network offers something different, from regular catch ups, virtual coffee mornings, webinars, guest speakers, training and the opportunity to attend events.
We celebrate difference and make sure every colleague, patient and resident is treated with dignity and respect.
Our commitment
We are committed to ensuring that no one is treated less favourably for their gender identity or expression, racial group, ethnic or national origin, or nationality, educational or socio-economic background, caring responsibilities or part-time/fixed term status.
We value the qualities that a diverse workforce brings to our organisation and encourage all colleagues to take an active role in promoting equality of opportunities and preventing any form of discrimination. We welcome job applications from people with disabilities, and those we appoint will be provided with appropriate equipment and support to enable them to do their job.
